Lexus Repair: LS 400 90 K Service, lexus 400, independent mechanic

Hi Zak,
I bought a pre owned 1997 Lexus 400.... (love the Car!) I bought it with 72K and now it is approaching 90 K...  What is included in a 90 K service? Also do you recommend service only at the Dealer or Independent Mechanic who specializes in Lexus?  I have been quoted from the dealer 570 to replace fluids and an additional 800 for Water pump/ Timing chain Total out the door $1370.00 I live in Northern Cal and dont know what to do...

Hello, Services very from dealer to dealer and place to place but the $1370 is a great price. Here the dealer charges about $2000. If you can find a independent shop that has a factory trained tech you should be fine. Our 90k service includes all fluids, timing belt, complete tune, ac filter, and rotate tires etc. $1285 not including the water pump.
