Lexus Repair: starting problem 2000 Lexus ES200, sludge problem, engine temp

when I start the car, engine turns over but once the engine starts, it then stalls.  It repeatedly does this, then starts and everything OK.  If I keep my foot on the accelarator everything OK.  I recently read that my model year is having problems with engine slug, how do I identify this problem.  Any advice will be appreciated.

Hello, The engine sludge problem has been a problem that occurs on some of the motors when the engine oil is not changed every 3k miles. This will not cause the problem you are describing. You can check for sludging by removing the front valve cover for inspection. Hard to say what is causing your problem. It could be any number of things like a engine temp sensor.
