Lexus Repair: Oil Change, oil pan plug, joe marlin

I use Mobil One Synthetic lubricant in my 1993 Lexus 400.  I have never changed the filter and replaced the fluid before but because of the cost am considering it.

Where is the filter located?  Do you have to remove the shield under the motor?  I can see the oil pan plug.

Hello, Yes you will need to drop the splash sheild down to get to the filter . It is on the drivers side front of the engine at the bottom. Also just a note to change your oil & filter no more than every 5k miles even with synthetic. Every 3k with regular oil.
