Lexus Repair: 1999 Lexus Rx300, lexus rx300, load test

Question
Hi there,
I recently had my 60,000 mile service done.  The dealer suggested I get a new battery, but I'm not having trouble starting the car.  It was replaced in 2001.  They said it failed the "load test."  Also, my clock on the computer keeps re-starting at 1:00 AM every morning when I turn it on.  Nothing else on the computer is wrong.  Is this because of the battery, or should that have been taken care of during the service?

Answer
Hello Marisa, The average life of a battery in a Lexus is about 3yrs.The load test will give you an idea of the life left of a battery when put under a harsh condition. It may be a good idea to replace it unless you don't mind getting stuck. It sounds like the clock may be starting to have problems and that is why it is resetting itself.
