Lexus Repair: starter bad? 95 ls 400 125m miles, jumper cables, turning the key

My wife noticed that when she cranked the car there was a delay between turning the key and the engine turning over. I am now in it and it will not crank at all. It makes an clink and then nothing.

Hello Robert, Well I would say it is one of two thing, a dead battery / poor battery cable connection or a bad starter. I would check the battery ends to make sure they are clean and battery has water. You may want to try and use some jumper cables also. Thanks for your question, Zak
