Lincoln/Mercury Repair: Noise under the hood, changing transmission fluid, mercury sable

Hello Dinger,

I have a 1997 Mercury Sable GS. Recently, I can hear some noise (buzz) coming under the hood(on driver's side). meanwhile, I can feel tremble on the gas pedal. The noise starts when the speed is around 40mile/hour and gets louder with car's speed. It stays whenever the car is running.I changed the transnission oil. That doesn't work. I would appreciate if you could figure out this problem. Thanks

No, changing transmission fluid will never correct any problems but could cause serious issues with the transmission. This sounds like a bad wheel bearing. I suggest taking it to your nearest Cottman transmission shop and they will diagnose this problem for free.
