Lincoln/Mercury Repair: rough idle, vacuum lines, plug wires

I have a 1998 merc tracer 2.2L and just had EGR valve replaced,full tune-up,fuel pump and filter replaced.Idles very rough almost like engine is going to stall,I see no idle speed adj on carb.Had scanned at Cottman no error codes.Any Ideas ????

HI Phil,

Start with checking carefully all the vacuum lines. Don't mess with idle adjustment, it's computer controlled. Check plug wires, well, replace them either way. Plugs need to be changed every 100,000 miles. Let me know and we'll go the next step, but I bet it's the wires...
