Lincoln/Mercury Repair: air conditioner, vacuum leak, lincoln mercury

okay do you know anybody in chicagoland as  qualified to work or should i just go to lincoln mercury and bite the bullet  and pay those high fees

Hi Dinger , I have a 86 Town car, Have a problem with the a/c  when I slide the lever on the a/c control to lets say panel it blow out correct but when I slide the lever to floor nothing blows out , iwas told that the air control panel needs replace and some under the glove box he prop open the  recir door so the compartment would get colder can you advise

Well, maybe, but more likey it's a vacuum leak or a vacuum hose that came off the vent control mechanism down on the floor up under the dash. More likely the leak because it appearently changes to some extent. This may also make your car run rough as well. As cars age, vacuum hoses become an issue as they dry up and start to crack, fall off or break.

Being from Vegas, most of your people are here already! LOL Seems I meet someone from Chi-Town everyday... Best bet, honestly is to ask folks you know, see if someone can recommend someone that is reliable first, and possible reasonably priced second.
