Lincoln/Mercury Repair: sunroof wont close on one side., mercury cougar, screw driver

Question
99 mercury cougar 125 K So a week ago or so my sunroof was working fine and when i got home one day i was closing it and it seemed like only one side was moving and just dragging the other behind on the rack so it moves all the way foward but it won't close down on the driver side, it closes down on the passenger side fine but sits at that angle with the passenger side all the way down but the driver side lifted. I was trying to close it by pushing the button and putting some weight on it but it would not go down i might have evan cracked the part that drops in down into place with the force. I would really appriciate your help if you can it's kind a wierd part of the car to work on but i would love to try, any exuse to use some tools.

Answer
hello pat
well get the tools out lol.

First check the track to see if thire is any debree in the track or it could be a bent track which case the track is the whole sun roof.
if you see s frame around the botton remove with a thin screw driver or look for plugs in the frame.
remove the plugs the screws would be under the plugs.
then if the whole frame is bent u would have to get window and frame and seal wires on llug from the motor

good luck to u and if u need more help let me know
