Lincoln/Mercury Repair: 95 Town Car Air Suspension, lincoln town car, car returns

Question
Hello there.  I have a 1995 Lincoln Town Car 4.6L V8.  I am having somewhat of an issue with the rear air suspension.  When there is a heavy load in the back, the rear end of the car jacks itself up to level the car out no problem.  However, it can take almost an entire day for the air suspension to lower itself back down to the normal ride level.  I was wondering if there is any way to adjust this suspension so when the weight in the back is gone, the car returns to its normal level immediately and doesn't take forever to lower itself (because eventually, the "CHECK AIR SUSPENSION" light comes on).  Also, I might add that when the suspension is lowering itself, there is somewhat of a clicking sound.  I have no idea what that could be. Thanks in advance.
