Lincoln/Mercury Repair: Power Steering Pump Pulley, belt pulley, power steering pump

Question
I have a 93 Lincoln Continental (3.8 engine)with a bad power steering pump. I have a replacement pump, but now comes my problem. Due to the shape of the mounting bracket, there is no way to remove the pump without first removing the serpentine belt pulley from the pump. It appears to be threaded onto the PS pump shaft. A 3/8 allen fits in the end of the shaft to hold it, but I'm not sure how (or which direction) the pulley comes off. I tried using a pipe wrench to grip the small metal hub of the pulley, but couldn't get it to budge turning it in either direction. I can't put heat to it , it looks like the pulley is made of some type of plastic. I need some advice. Thanks,  Jim
