Lincoln/Mercury Repair: Power Windows, lincoln town car, car driver

My wife's 2002 Lincoln Town Car, driver's window will go down but will not go back up. But if you park it overnight the window works fine the next day and for two or three more days. But it will go down and then not go back up again. I have to get it fixed because she is afraid to drive it especially in the rain. Any suggests as to what is wrong with the window, and can I fix it myself. I change the oil and do the brakes on the car but I don;t have a clue about the window except to change the drive motor, but I don't think that is the problem.

I don't believe it's the motor either, otherwise it wouldn't do anything! I think it's a bad switch to be honest. I could be wrong, but let's try that first. It's the least expensive repair and easiet to get to. Let me know how that works out. I will also look for more info on this just in case.
