Mazda Repair: A/C COMPRESSOR, line connections, cooling fans

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A 1992 A/C COMPRESSOR FROM A 1997 A/C COMPRESSOR ON A MIATA. MY CAR IS A 1992 MIATA.  CAN I INSTALL AN A/C COMPRESSOR FROM A 1997 MIATA?  EVERYTIME, THE A/C ENGAGES, I HEAR A SQUEKING NOICE. NOT SURE IF IT IS THE A/C CLUTCH OR THE COMPRESSOR ITSELF.

No the line connections are different from 92 to a 97.  Check your cooling fans they make squeak noises when they start to fail.  Both should operate with the AC on.  We have a limited supply of New Mazda Compressors for that year (they have been discontinued).  $399.  service@miatashop.com
