Mazda Repair: 1990 miata start up issues after head gasket job, head gasket, mazda dealer

Question
HI! I hope you can help me with this. I have just finished putting the engine back together and found that i wasnt getting fuel to the motor. I then found that I had the fuel lines backwards...heh. After I fixed that the car started but ran horribly and then stalled. This happened 3 times then once again wouldnt start at all. After searching around, I found a disconnected black plug. Its Narrow and kind of long, and has ONE blue wire coming from it which goes into the fuel injector harness. It also appears to say "AMP" on it. I've searched and searched and cannot find where this plug goes. I have a service shop manual (Mazda dealer) for this car and I can't find it in thier either. PLEASE help!!!

Answer
The wire should be the heat gauge lead, it should be black/blue striped with a long female plug.  The heat gauge is located under the crank position sensor next to the rubber pipe plug on the back of the head.  It won't have a bearing on your start up issue though.
