Mazda Repair: 1993 Mazda 626 DX timing, mazda 626, o clock

Hi Joshua,
The key in the crankshaft is at 12 o'clock so that's TDC, the way I read Haynes. But the camshaft sprocket timing marks are off by one tooth. Should I go ahead and line them up even though the car has been running ok? (Except for very low idle in Drive). Thank you.

are you sure you should be at TDC and not 10 degress off TDC i would say your better to line up the sprocket marks after you have everything lined up spin the motor by hand and make sure there's no binding that's what i tend to do as an added step to assure myself everything is ok

you can fix the idle speed by adjusting the idle speed bolt sould be done by a dealer
