Mazda Repair: 1993 mazda 929 not starting, starter solenoid, mazda 929

Question
QUESTION: My 1993 mazdA 929 is not starting ? How much does a starter cost to install?

ANSWER: If it is the starter itself, $150 parts, $150 labor average.

When you turn the key does it:
a. Click repeatedly
b. Engage and turn the engine but the engine does not fire up (start running)
c. Does nothing (indicator lights on or off?)
d. Make a whirling noise like and electric motor but does not turn the engine.

Just because it won't start doesn't mean the starter is bad.  Starters ail but a they have a long track record of use, it could be something else.  If you describe the issue further I might be able to help.
