Question
1998 mazda 626 2.0 4 cyl 57k miles i want to change fuel filter and spark plugs. looking at after market fuel filters and many are of the bent variety rather than straight why the difference? any secret or hints i might use when changing filter.  when changing the plugs the wires are just pulled up? any thing i might need to know for this?  (i am novice here and want to avoid problems) when should i change pvc value?

Answer
There should only be one correct fuel filter design for your car. Changing the filter should be prety straight forward. Try not to spill too much gas. Don't have a icnition sources near by when you are changing it either. Yes, the plug wires just pull straight off the plug. Generally, the PCV valve does not need to be changed very often. If one of the hose connections breaks off of it, then it will need replacement. Otherwise, they don't wear out very often.
