Mazda Repair: Car wont shut off., jumper wire, mazda 323

Question
1993 Mazda 323 approx 105 000, when the ignition is shut off the day time running lights and all other electrical components continue to operate, which drains the battery. All fuses have been checked, ignition was taken out and replaced . Which did not change the situation.  I haven't come across a posted solution.  All wiring seems fine. do you have any advise or possible causes.

Answer
when you said daylight running lights i'm assuming this is a canadian car? if so, there wiring is somewhat different from us models.. you replaced the ignition cyl or ignition switch? sounds like switch is not getting grounded when key is off, using a test light i would find the terminal on the switch thats not powered up and connect a jumper wire to a body ground to see if it shuts off, if it does then theres a problem in the harness, cheap fix is to make your own ground circut
