Mazda Repair: Mazda B2300, vent valve, mazda b2300

Question
The air conditioning on my truck works but doesnt blow right. It blows out of the defrost vents and not out of the regular air vents. The previous owner said something about a switch in the glove box that he would use to make it work. Im not sure what kind of switch or anything that would make it work. Do you have any ideas?

Answer
He could be talking about a vent valve behind the glove box that is accessible in some part from the glove box. I would crawl under the dash with a flashlight and look for any unhooked cables and or any unhooked or kinked rubber lines going to any of the vent door actuators. I have had a few cars do this and usually you can find an unhooked cable and or actuator that when reconnected will solve the problem.
