Nissan Repair: nissan problems, transistorized ignition, fuse box

Question
I have an 85 Nissan p/u 2.4L. I took my truck out into some mud and I got stuck, after I finally got out I turned up the idle because it was running really rough. Turns out I killed the alternator so I replaced it, soon after my truck started running really poorly. I checked the plugs and I'm only getting spark on the intake side. The exhaust has nothing. I tried the ignition coils and one of the wires was not getting power so I switched the wires and the one wire was still not getting power. I then ran a wire from the power from one coil to the other and I still have no spark on the exhaust side. Any ideas?

Answer
Karl,

If the back coil is not getting power then I would be looking at the fuse box.  If it is the trigger wire that is not letting it fire I would look at the transistorized ignition module being shorted or the distributor being contaminated inside.
