Mazda Repair: wheel bearing, wheel bearings, true wheel

hi i have a 2002 mazda protege i changed my front left wheel bearing just 2 months ago now im hearing the humming noise again but im not sure if its coming from the left or right side.. is it normal to change ur wheel bearing after i certain mileage? or is it the way im driving? because my friends have had their cars for 8 years and never once did they have to change the wheel bearing

Its true wheel bearings are not a common thing to go, they can last up to the lifetime of the vehicle, driving habits can be an issue though. But i dont see it going after two months, Wheel bearings are sensitive on installation and if it not installed properly they will not last very long at all.If you had it changed at a shop the supplier will usualy cover it under warranty.
