Mazda Repair: 94 Mazda MX-6, mazda mx 6, air flow sensor

Question
Got a good deal last august 94 mazda mx 6 (150k miles) at auction ($1600) Ran well, had to replace clutch, Then turn signals went out, when fixed guy told me there is a short in fuse box.....all of the sudden started to lose power, a little hesitation. Then I'm driving down the road and the car just dies and won't start. Car is towed to mechanic with good reputation... he has it a week and cant get it to start. Towed to another place this guy gets it to start, with a new distributor, gives me a tune up, but car still runs very rough, their is an accelaration problem, when you step hard on the gas pedal it completely bogs down, doesn't cut but it's like there is no gas getting to engine, or not at the right time... a few weeks and several hundred dollars of renting cars we have replaced, the TPS, the air flow sensor behind air filter, fuse box (under dash), and gotten a new catalytic converter, picked it up yesterday and IT STILL HAS the SAME PROBLEM.. the guy was nice enough not to charge me anymore money... but?????? I'm frustrated behind this mystery... any ideas? This is the 2.5 liter V6

Answer
Hi Itoco thanks for asking.
This is every technicians worst nightmare. "Electriacal".
It definitly sounds like you have a wiring problem somewhere, or a bad module.  Did some one just try to repair the wiring harness to the fuse block when there was a short? There has to be another short to ground or an open circuit somewhere. These technicians are NOT checking out sensors Properly. A good technician will tell you whats wrong with the vehicle and be sure about it. No one should just throw parts at a vehicle and hopes it fixes it. There is a way to test everything. I suggest you find a new mechanic.. Or just take it to the Mazda dealer. They will install a breaker box and test every circuit on the vehicle and they will make sure everthing is working properly. It is hard for me to give you a diagnostic over this, i wil have to see the vehicle to get aq better idea of what the problem is.
Good luck
