Mercedes Benz repair: Cabin Fan, mercedes benz 190e, mb 190e

Question
My 1991, MB, 190E w/ 187K in Chilmark on Martha's Vineyard.  My car problem is a sudden loss of the cabin fan function.  Checked fuses 1 - 3 in Fuse Box and they are fine.  Then checked the coil near the 2 larger fuses behind the battery but before the fire wall.  The coil is not heating up, but the auxliary fan seems to be working.  Any suggetstions as to my fix?

Thank you.

Walt
