Mercedes Benz repair: Mercedes C230 Komp Brake Squeal, mercedes c230 coupe, 2003 mercedes c230

Question
I purchased a 2003 Mercedes C230 Coupe 2 weeks ago. Purchased used, it has 24K miles on it.
The day after I brought my "new car" home, the brakes began to squeak whenever I would press my foot on the pedal. This didn't happen on my test drive or the day of purchase. I took it back to where I purchased the car and told them to look at the brakes. They said that my brakes are fine, that I have "80% life left", and that they just get dusty easily. They said even if they cleaned them, within 2 miles of driving they would start to squeak again. They said it is "normal" - I don't think so.....I have NEVER had this problem with any car before.
I wasn't happy with the "this is normal" answer I got from where I purchased the car.
So, I took it to Mercedes and paid 50 dollars for a "brake check". They said that my brakes have 40% life left (unlike the 80% from the 3 days prior), and had "excessive dust" They state on my invoice that "they attempted to clean my brakes as best as possible, to prevent excessive noise"...well, they may have "attempted" to clean them, but the noise was even worse when I pulled out of the MB service area...
The guy from Mercedes even said to me "Wait until summer, they will be really noisey then" What's that supposed to mean?
How can I fix this problem?
They said my brakes are fine and that this is normal...I can't deal with the (very loud) consistant noise when I brake. How can I get this fixed when MB is telling me it's normal?
Any help would be appreciated!
Thanks in advance,
Anne

Answer
The typical reason for this noise = someone used cheap aftermarket pads.
Approach the dealer and ask if they can do a complete brake service and make the noise go away.
Their answer should be yes.

Brake Disc...
Brake Pad Set...
