Mercedes Benz repair: Smoke, vent tube, smoke cloud

'82 MBZ 300 D turbo.Uneven idling and black smoke at idling and at accelaration/starts up very well,lots of power/.260.000 miles.Also a winning/whistling/sound from somewere of under the car possibly from the rear at speed up to 30 mph,and over 55 mph...Please help !!!

Uneven idling = possible bad rack dampener pin, fouled injectors.

Whining/whistling/sound from somewhere of under the rear of car = possible bad differential.
Suggest good used differential.

Black smoke at idle and acceleration = possible bad turbo seal, excess engine blow by from vent tube, bad injectors, injection pump over fueling (rebuild or replace).
Simple test:
Remove oil fill cap, start engine, describe smoke cloud from hole = little or none, small cloud, heavy puffing, massive black cloud.
