i have slowly lost travel distance in clutch pedal. does not go far enough to go into gear. i checked fluid and bled line for air is there anyway to adjust the clutch?

Hi Tim.  I regret that the answer is probably no, once the clutch loses all free play and starts to slip you need a new clutch plate.  

However, I have seen cases where the clevis pin that goes through the operating fork underneath the car is badly worn.  It is worth removing it and checking for wear.  Sometimes a worn pin will introduce so much free play into the mechanism that it stops the clutch from working properly.  The clevis pin only costs 95 cents.  See part number 17 in this diagram:
