MG Car Repair: new fuel pump not pulling fuel, radiator shops, mg midget

i have a 79 mg midget had bad fuel pump  replaced with new one and it won't pull fuel from tank replaced fuel filter but no luck need help on what to do next.

Hi Rick,
First confirm that the pump has some vacuum on the suction side then if it will not pull any fuel from the tank you probably have something in the tank obstructing the pick up.

Sometimes you can open the filler cap and use compressed air to blow into the pick up tube in an attempt to clear the line. However, even if that works you should have the tank cleaned. Some radiator shops do that kind of work.
