MG Car Repair: 1979 MGB, hazard switch, hazard lights

Question
My turn signals and hazard lights have stopped working, all gauges and other lights and horn are still working. Can you help? Thanks

Answer
Sorry for the delay, Jeff.  My computer had a major failure - took 10 days to fix it.

The MGB hazard lights work off a different fuse from the turn indicators, so it is unlikely that both fuses have blown.  Also, when you operate the hazard switch, it disconnects both of the turn indicator circuits.

Therefore, I think the hazard switch has failed.

Try operating the switch a few times.  It may just be dirty contacts inside the switch.  Failing that, replace the hazard switch.  They regularly go wrong, especially if they have not been used for a while.
