MG Car Repair: Condenser, spark plug wires, side terminal

Question
We are having an issue getting our 1954 MG TF to start.  It has been about 13 years since it has fired, however, it was working when it was put in storage.  Thus far we have:

Cleaned the carburetors
Changed the spark plugs
Replaced the coil
Replaced the points
Replaced the spark plug wires
Replaced all wires to coil

We have tested the plugs and we have fire to them.  We are waiting on a condenser from Moss.  Can this be our problem or should we crack open the head and start looking at the valves?

If you think the condenser could be the issue, is there a comparable after market part, as Moss has given us a month to wait?

In other news, we would be more than happy to provide you with fajitas and beer should you want to take a trip to Houston.

Cheers!

Answer
Hi Lynden.  You have done all the right things.  You could do a compression test to check if there is anything wrong with the engine before going to the trouble and expense of removing the head.  Did you fill up with FRESH gasoline?  After 13 years, stale fuel will not ignite.  Condenser could be a problem.  As a temporary measure, buy a condenser for any car and fit it externally between the dizzy side terminal and earth.

Not sure I fancy a beer, it is 30 degrees F here.  Thanks for the offer.
