MG Car Repair: narrowing it down, inertia switch, test light

Question
hello again,  still no gas to my 1977 mgb, when the key is in the 2nd position
no noise or clicking like the fuel pump should make( even with my head
under the car) i tapped and rapped the metal side of the pump, no help, i
took off the fuel line on both side of the fuel filter, no gas being pumped
before or after filter. i found the round relay that the 4 wires go into and
cleaned connections and put back and still no gas being pumped, question is,
is one of the inline fuses i have under the hood related the pump ? is the 4
wires you speak of the only ones i should be checking in relation to the
pump/relay.. thanks in adance

Answer
Thanks for the refresh on the question, (that was quick)
The fuel pump does not have a relay. The power comes directly from an inertia switch by way of a white wire. The inertia switch is powered by the ignition switch.
Just put a 12v test light on the white wire on the pump and turn the key to ignition. If you don't have power check to see that you have power on both white wires on the inertia switch and if no power check at the ignition switch for power out of the white wire.
Don't forget to check the ground on the fuel pump.
