MG Car Repair: mgb no power, test light, wiring harness

Question
I have a 1977 mgb that i recently got from my grandfather it only has 15k original miles, it sat for about 4 yrs without being started. i rat had gotten to the wiring harness in the dash, i had that repaired but i still don't have any power no lights no clicking just as if it didn't have a battery and the battery is new along with cables.. i have re-checked all wiring and fuses still nothing, I'm stumped... please help!! thanks

Answer
Hi Randy,
If you checked all wiring it would work. Wiring just conducts current from the battery to the lights with a switch and dimmer switch in the route.
You just need to follow your wiring diagram from source to the lights with a test light to find where the power stops.

If you don't have a wiring diagram you can go to my web site and copy the one on the site.

76 and 77 are the same as far as lights go.
