Question
Hi. I have a 1994 mitsubishi express van, 2.4 ltr, auto, lwb, petrol.
I replaced the thermostat today, ( I had started the vehicle prior) I Took off the top hose and coolant spilled onto the dissy. Anyway it hasn't started since, petrol is getting through as far as i can tell. The thing is it was running until i done the thermostat. I am at a loss please help.

Answer
Rick,
The changing of the thermostat should not cause starting problems.  It's possible that while removing the old thermostat and installing the new one, a wire/harness may have become unplugged and not put back in.  I'm not familiar with the engine layout on that vehicle, but if any air intake components and their related electrical sensor became disconnected, the engine may not start.  And by "won't start", you'll want to clarify if that means the starter motor will engage when you turn the key, but the engine will not catch and run; or you turn the key and nothing happens.  If its the latter, then that means the battery or the starter motor itself is bad.  Else, you may want to have the car brought to a mechanic to diagnosis the problem more thoroughly.
Good luck!
