Hi, I have a 1992 mitsubishi eclipse gs. My problem is that when Im going at about 30 mph my trany(automatic) wont shit to third gear. They told me it could be a selanoid, not sure could u give me any suggestions. Thank u

A bad solenoid is a common cause to your problem.  A malfunctioning overdrive switch or other related component can also cause this problem as well.  Low transmission fluid level can also cause shifting issues.  You may want to get a couple of mechanics opinions on your issue, as transmission repair can get pretty expensive pretty quickly.
