Mitsubishi Repair: 99 Mitsubishi DE cuts off, mechanic check, high humidity

My daughters 99 Mitsubishi de always cuts out or shuts off when it has rained, even if it is just a light shower or wet road it sputters and hesitates or completely dies, Just had a major tune up with all the normal parts replaced plugs, wires cap, etc. What will cause this problem?

The most common cause for this problem is moisture getting under the distributor cap or problem with the distributor itself.  You should have your mechanic check that new cap and make sure it's making a tight seal and no water is getting in.  It does not take much moisture to cause your problem.  It can even happen when there very high humidity without rain.
