Mitsubishi Repair: Mitsubishi Mirage 1.8 LS, mitsubishi mirage, automatic cars

Question
Dear Antony
My Car is a Mitsubishi Mirage, year 2000, CK5A with a 4G93 1.8L engine and automatic transmission. The problem is the transmission, sometimes it shocks when downshifting from 3rd to 2nd and when upshifting sometimes it slip a little bit a and takes a little while to pick the next gear, specially on a uphill with the car fully loaded. I bought this car 3 months ago and I am not sure whether this is a failure but certainly the automatic cars that I have driven before did not have this noticiable slippage and shocks. I am about to change the ATF. I would appreciate your answer.
Thanks in Advance
Best Regards

Answer
Jose,
You may have a broken transmission mount and/or loose cable linkage.  Have that checked out initially.  A ATF flush and fill can help as well.  Be sure to change the fluid filter as well.  If the problem persists, you may want to have a transmission shop inspect it.
Good luck!
