Mitsubishi Repair: high idle, mass air sensor, throttle position sensor

have 89 dodge raider 3.0 a/t idle stays at1500-1700 rpm even when up..  to temp.i've changed the idle control didn't help.timming ok

Check your car's computer.  The computer (ECU) is essentially bypassed when your engine is cold.  Once the engine warms up, the ECU will begin to take over and adjust timing, air/fuel ratio mixture, and a number of other areas to try to keep your engine running properly.  Other components that you should check are your mass air sensor, throttle position sensor, throttle body, and engine temp sensor.
