Mitsubishi Repair: 1999 Mitsubishi Galant GTZ problem, mitsubishi galant gtz, mitsubishi galant

Question
When I first bought my 1999 Mitsubishi Galant GTZ V6 3.0 from the dealer, I had a few problems with it that they supposedly fixed. What would happen is I would start it, and as soon as I put it in gear it would stall out. Also, there were misfire codes P0303 and P0305, misfires in cylinders 3 and 5. Also, the car would idle very rough and bump and rumble when in gear at a stoplight/stopsign, however once the car was driving, it drove fine.

They said they replaced the plugs, wires, distributor, distributor cap, and fuel injectors.

Just yesterday a new problem started that is very similar. There is no check engine light on, however my problem is this: When I go to start my car, it'll start then the RPM will drop to zero and die. I have to keep cranking and pumping the gas for the car to finally start, and once it does, it starts rumbling and shaking. Then once it starts driving, it's perfectly fine until I stop and it again shakes and rumbles. What else can we look for?

Answer
Kevin: I would be doing another tune up on this car, but also have the computer coded too, to see if it might let you know what is causing all this. You might have a weak sensor someplace on the car. It also sounds like maybe a bad vaccum hose off someplace too. Really you need to get the into a shop and let them check it over. I can only guess without seeing, hearing or driving the car. And so a shop or dealership in this case is your best bet.Might also check the fuel pump to make sure it is putting out enough pressure, would work ok, when running down the road but as you slow down then the pressure would drop and then car would not run so good.
