Mitsubishi Repair: mitsubishi mirage ls trouble code, differential pressure sensor, mitsubishi mirage

Question
i have a 2000 mirage ls 1.8 liter, PO400 code keeps coming up, i changed egr valve, solenoid,  the light keeps coming up, i dont know what else to do.  Can a faulty map sensor cause this? or what can it be?

Answer
Arthur,
The reason for the EGR flow code is probably because Mistubishi uses the MAP to detect EGR flow, so you may be correct in your assumption.  Have your MAP sensor inspected and replaced if necessary.  Some Mitsu mechanics refer to the MAP sensor as the MDP sensor, Manifold Differential Pressure sensor.  That could be clogged or malfunctioning.
Good luck!
