Mitsubishi Repair: Egine Failure, mitsubishi spacewagon, computer resets

My Mitsubishi spacewagon 2.4 ,5 door (2001), Just cuts out at any time , the engine light comes on and it rolls to a stop, you have to turn everything off leave it for half a mintue then start it again and it works.

Cant you help me?

Tim: A problem in the system and the computer is kicking on the engine light. So you need to get the car coded to see what the computer is finding as the problem and why it is kicking the engine off. If you got an AutoZone close by they will code your car for free.You know don't you that the computer controls everything in that car, even how it shifts? If no AutoZone then take the car to a shop or dealership to have the computer coded.The reason with waiting for a half minute and then the car starts again, is because the computer resets its self. But one of these days, the car won't start again, so get it checked out and fixed. God bless: Linda
