Mitsubishi Repair: 1995 Eagle Summit 4 cyl 2.4L Mitsubishi stalls, eagle summit, temperature gauge

Question
Engine stalls at any speed (from idle to 65 MPH).  Initially stalling occurred only occasionally, now it is stalling on a regular basis (sometimes after only a few miles).  After stalling, engine turns over, but will not start for a minute or so.  Replaced fuel filter last week.  Engine accelerates well and idles OK.  Spark plugs are relatively new and look good (light tan).  The distributor was replaced about 1 year ago.  Dashboard engine temperature gauge reads normal.

Answer
Dana,
There could be a problem with your car's computer or perhaps a malfunctioning camshaft position sensor.  Problems with either of those items can cause your sporadic stalling issue.  You should have  mechanic inspect your computer and ignition and air intake sensors to verify if they are functioning properly.
Good luck!
