the knobs on my a/c are stuck and i am unable to control temp, or where the air comes out its making sounds as if its blowing through the front defroster but theres nothing coming out, any idea how much to replace these controls?
i got an estimate once and it was for 5000....Thats more than the cars worth! thanx Sandee

Replacing the HVAC controls should not cost $5000.  You need to get a new estimate.  A new heater controller unit for your car costs around $260 from the dealership, so I can't imagine what else would have been included in that $5000 estimate.  Unless they wanted to replace your entire A/C system, which still would fall short of $5000.  So get a different estimate.  You can even try going to the dealership for an estimate if you haven't already.
