Mitsubishi Repair: 2001 mitsubishi, jeannie jeannie, air intake system

Hello,

I need and engine diagram of an 2001 Mitsubishi eclipse, 4 cylinder.  I need to replace the spark plugs, and it looks like I need to take off a cover?

Jeannie: No way to send a diagram to you by this site, you need to out out and buy yourself a repair manual for your car, most parts stores have them and they cost around $20.00. This is not an easy job, well the three up front are, but to do the back three, there is a lot of things you need to remove to get at those. As you have to remove the intake manifold, also the air intake system. Once you remove the intake manifold then you would have to replace the gasket too. There is also various other wires and tubing too. But if you want to do this yourself then go get that manual as it will walk  you through all those things, with words but pictures too. Try to buy a Haynes manual as they are better as they have less engines in them. More pictures. Know this, you need to remember to do one stark plug, its wire put in the new stark plug then the wire and then go on to the next stark plug and then its wire, the new stark plug and its wire, don't take them all off at once, but rather one at a time till you have all the new stark and wires put in.
