Mitsubishi Repair: Suspension PROBLEMS!!! PLEASE, wheel alignment, alignment problems

Question
Hey there! I have a 1998 Mitsubishi eclipse RS non-turbo manual. I would really appreciate it if you could answer this for me... My car was lowered by a previous owner, SO LOW the the ground i can barely make it over speed bumps, replaced all new tires in 6 months! (these things ain't cheap, lol) and my body kit it ruined, so low i had to replace my oil pan because it was punctured. anyway, i just want my car to ORIGINAL STOCK height of my year, make, model or at least high enough that it wont scratch anything! lol. i was just wondering if you knew of a website (good price), specs of a good height would be a good (inches), to at least let my car be in peace over a bump! lol. if it helps... my car club buddies chipped in and got me new aftermarket springs on there now, and thats it. so do i need shocks? coilovers? a whole suspension? (please... if it will break the bank... any way around that route???)

Answer
Matthew,
Lowering your car even more than inch below stock can cause alignment problems and excessive stress on steering and related suspension components.  Since you put new springs on it, I would recommend replacing the shocks and getting a 4-wheel alignment done.  Have your ball joints and tie-rods inspected and replaced if found to be worn.
Good luck!
