Mitsubishi Repair: Reset the computer, spark plug wire, computer resets

I was told by Auto Zone of a miss of the fourth cylinder of my 2003 Outlander.  I replaced the spark plug wire and ignition coil .  I was told that it takes 200 miles until the computer resets itself.  Is this true?  Thanks again for all your past helpful information

Catherine: Try taking the neg cable off the battery, wait about five minutes and put it back on. That too will reset the computer. Don't think I have heard about driving the car 200 miles and that will reset the computer. But I mostly work on older cars. Still give the neg cable on the battery I know that one works.
