Mitsubishi Repair: loud vibration inside my 93 eagle summit wagon, car steering wheel, bad tire

Question
as soon as i start my car, there is a loud vibration that shakes the entire interior of my car.steering wheel, windows, heater vents, you name it.i have taken it to a few mechanics and they have never figured it out or fixed but one said it might be a broken motor mount or something and that maybe the engine is touching the body creating it to shake.does this sound like it might be the problem?any insights to a smoother ride?

Answer
Sonny:Oh good question so if the mechanic said that your car's motor mount was broken did you get that checked out? There is three mounts, they have a large piece of rubber in them, could be one of those is gone and should be replaced. Have you had the engine timed to make sure it is running right? If it does not bother when you turn the wheels as to say a bad tire or more, then it would have to be something to do with the engine. So I would check those motor mounts, like I said there is a large piece of rubber in them maybe one of those is gone so you are running steel or steel. The timing because if the timing is off, then the engine wouldn't be running right and so that might cause you to have a vibration. Have you always had this problem or did it just start? If it just started one day, can you remember what you were doing or where the car was? Road wise, could you picked something up that is has hooked into or on the engine so causing it to make this vibration? Are you sure you have the right belts on the engine, right pulleys, in that the car was worked on something was replace but not with the right parts?  Still I can only give you ideas, I had a nasty vibration but it was due to two bad tires, once I replaced them; my ride was smooth again. So yes I would check those motor mounts and see where that might lead you. Hope some of this helps and God bless: Linda
