Can you tell me where the thermostat is located on a 2002 mitsubihi eclipse?

Lee: I can tell you where it is, but you can not see it with your eye. You will have to drain off some of the coolant, there should be a drain at the bottom of your radiator, make sure an animal or children can not get into that old coolant, then find the the big hose coming off the radiator follow it back onto the engine, if you take that end off where that hose goes into the engine the thermostat should be down inside that top or bottom where that hose tooks to the engine. Might hit a parts store and get yourself a repair manual for your car, they cost around $20.00 and well worth the money. As it will walk you through this, explaining what tools you would need, how to do this and how to replace the thermostat with a new one. Need to put that thermostat gasket in there right or the system will leak. That would not be good. Hope this helps and God bless: Linda
