Mitsubishi Repair: Changing radios, stereo tape, stereo wiring

Question
I'm trying to replace my stereo/tape unit with one that also has cd. I plug in the din connector on the right and the white plug with all the pins in the center.  The unit turns on showing stations, clock, but no sound comes out.  Could it be the radio, or my connectors.  It's a 97 3000GT, soh cam. Thanks.

Answer
Jerry,
If you have a voltmeter or a test light, you can check the stereo wiring for your car.  Check the speaker continuity and check for a proper ground connection.  Below is a site where you can find the specific wiring diagram for your stereo:

If all the wirings show continuity, then the problem may be with the new head unit you're trying to install.
Good luck!
