Mitsubishi Repair: 96 GS-T Tranny Issue, clutch work, hydraulic hoses

Question
My 96 GS-T won't go into gear (it's manual) and if I get it into gear it won't come out easily.

Answer
Wes: Your car has a hydraulic clutch on it. Have you checked to see if you have hydraulic fluid in the reservoir? It could be the only problem with your car is that one of the hydraulic hoses has a leak in it and there is not enough pressure to make the clutch work as it should. You need to get your car into a shop and let them find the problem and so fix it. As those hoses run all over and sometimes are hard to find which hose is leaking. Unless it is broke but then, you will have to bleed the system when you fix that and then put in new hydraulic oil/fluid. You should go out and buy yourself a repair manual on your car. Most parts stores have them, they cost around $20.00 and are well worth the money. Hope this helps and God bless: Linda
