Mitsubishi Repair: 2004 Mitsubishi Eclipse, control arm bushings, steering wheel radio controls

Question
there is a rattling noise when I go over bumps.  I had the wheel bearings rotors and brakes and lets not forget new tire put on any thoughts? also all of the sudden the steering wheel radio controls are not working??? she I name her CHRISTINE??

Answer
Tammy: Oh now, sometimes cars do cause us headaches but still a Christine I think not. I am getting this right out of my repair manual... well here are some things to check out... lack of lubrication at ball-joints and tie-rod ends, damaged strut mounting, worn control arm bushings or tie-rod ends, loose stabilizer bar, loose wheel nuts, loose suspension bolts.  That would be for the rattling noise. But the steering wheel radio controls could be due to a fuse that has burnt out. So check those fuses, they should be in a small box on the driver's side of the car, under the dash. Other wise there could be a wire that has worked off with the air bag in your car, you will need to get a shop to check that out. If it is not the fuse. Hope this helps and good luck! Linda
