Mitsubishi Repair: Clutch question, themselfs, clutch

Question
Hello Linda, i have a question regarding my 98 eclipse rs..everytime i depress the clutch it makes a creaky noise.  i can also feel it slightly as I press it down, about halfway down in movement.. is something wrong with my transmission?.. please let me know.. i love my car =]

Answer
Andre: Understand the love of one's car. But this could be a lot of different things. Is the clutch new, because it does take a while for them to seat themselfs. If not then it could be a bearing going, could be a spring failure well it could be a hose with a leak in it. As those clutches are hydraulic. So you best take the car into a shop or dealership and have it checked out. I think it is more the clutch then the transmission. I always say if the transmission will shift than it is most likely a problem with the clutch and the hydraulic. I hope this helps and good luck! ~Linda~
